You can book directly with us by email, phone or the form on this page — we reply personally and can help you choose the right house. You can also find us on Booking.com.

What is the cancellation policy?

For direct bookings, the 50% deposit secures your dates and is non-refundable. For bookings made through Booking.com or another platform, the cancellation terms shown when you book will apply.

How does payment work on a direct booking?

To hold your dates, we ask for a 50% deposit; the balance is due by check-in. You pay on our secure payment page, by Multibanco reference (at an ATM in Portugal or through Portuguese online banking) or by MB WAY. If you cannot use either, let us know and we will arrange a bank transfer instead. For Booking.com reservations, payment is handled by the platform.

Can I book both Caramulo apartments together?

Yes. Together, the two floors sleep up to 10 guests and share the pool, garden and barbecue — a lovely option for families or friends who want to stay close while keeping their own space. Talk to us and we will arrange it as one stay.

How does check-in work?

Before your trip, we ask you to complete online check-in. We review it personally and send your access code before arrival, so you can settle in at your own pace. If you need us, we are always available by phone.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

The house will be ready from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 1:00 PM. If you have different times in mind, tell us in advance and we will do our best, subject to availability.

Can I do a late check-in or late check-out?

The key safe makes a late arrival easy. Because we review every check-in personally, please complete the online form in advance so your code reaches you in time. A late check-out may be possible, subject to availability — just ask us beforehand.

What if I arrive very late at night?

That is no problem: the key safe lets you enter at any hour. We only ask that you complete online check-in in advance, so we can review everything and send your code before the journey.

Is the pool available all year?

The pool is available from May to September. Access is shared between guests of the Caramulo properties. The Campia property does not have a pool.

Yes, all properties have free high-speed WiFi.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes, all kitchens are equipped with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, plates and cutlery.

Is there heating and air conditioning?

Yes, all properties have air conditioning with heating and cooling functions for year-round comfort.

Are towels and bed linen provided?

Yes. Bath towels, sheets and bed linen will be waiting for you, along with a few basic toiletries such as soap and shampoo.

What is the difference between the two Caramulo apartments?

The Ground Floor has 1 bedroom (+ sofa bed in the living room, up to 4 guests) with direct pool access. The Upper Floor has 3 bedrooms (up to 6 guests) with panoramic mountain views. Both share the pool, garden and BBQ area.

Is there an electric vehicle charger?

Yes, the Caramulo properties have an EV charger, free for guests.

Pets are welcome too, as long as you let us know in advance. An additional cleaning charge may apply, and we simply ask that pets stay off the beds and sofas.

Is smoking allowed inside the houses?

Smoking is not allowed inside the houses. You may smoke in the garden or on the terrace, using the ashtrays provided.

Can I host parties or events?

To look after the peace of the house and our neighbours, parties and events are not permitted. Please keep noise especially low after 10:00 PM.

Are the houses suitable for children?

Yes, we love welcoming families. Please bear in mind that the pool is not fenced, so children must always be accompanied by an adult around the water.

Is there free parking?

Yes, all properties have free private parking.

How far are the major cities?

From the Caramulo house: Viseu (≈ 36.4 km · 42 min); Porto (≈ 104.9 km · 86 min); Lisbon (≈ 288.9 km · 208 min). From the Campia house: Viseu (≈ 39.1 km · 31 min); Porto (≈ 90.6 km · 68 min); Lisbon (≈ 293 km · 195 min). Driving estimates to each city centre; traffic and the destination address can change the route and journey time.

What is there nearby?

Do I need a car to get around?

We recommend coming by car. Public transport is very limited and, between villages, walking trails and viewpoints, a car gives you the freedom to discover the region at your own pace.

II. The Houses

Three houses, two villages one standard.

Our family opened Casa da Eira to receive guests the way we receive friends — unhurried, coffee on the table, everything in its place. These are the three houses available.

The best place from which to enjoy Caramulo. Everything was wonderful — it truly exceeded our expectations. So much green space, a peaceful atmosphere, very comfortable resting areas, well-equipped houses, and a host who was always there to help. You just arrive and enjoy. Truly nothing was missing.
